How much should a gardener cost in the San Francisco Bay area?

We have a fair sized yard, 8000sqft lot - 1200sqft house, with lawn and mature garden. We pay about $130 a month and he comes every week for clean up.
The previous guy ripped us off. He charged $120 but he cam only twice a month.
